How to find us

 

Johnby Hall is situated on the edge of the hamlet of Johnby, one mile north of the village of Greystoke, approximately five miles west of the M6 at Penrith.

 

Directions from the M6 junction 40:  From the roundabout take the A66 westbound towards Keswick.  After a couple of miles (and a little beyond the Rheged roundabout) take the right hand exit marked Greystoke.  At the next T junction turn left to Greystoke.  At the village green in Greystoke turn right to Johnby, taking the left hand fork at the next junction.  Johnby Hall is on the left with white gates after about a mile, just before the road rises to Johnby Village.

Directions from the M6 junction 41: Take the B5305 towards Wigton. Shortly after a very tight left bend in the road (at Hutton in the Forest) take the next left which is signed Greystoke. Follow this road (which takes you through the village of Blencow) and do not follow sat nav instructions to take a right hand turn. The next village is Greystoke (though you will not get as far as the sign showing the village name). Shortly after you enter the 30 mile an hour zone you pass between two houses. You need to take a sharp right at the point where the road bends left towards the main village. Take care on this corner. Johnby Hall is then on the left up this road with white gates after about a mile, just before the road rises to Johnby Village.  

 

If you wish to use a sat nav please do not enter our postcode as you will get lost!  If approaching from south or east you could set it for Greystoke village (CA11 0TP), then take the road sign to Johnby at the village green and follow our directions as above.
