We could not have wished for a better holiday home. Everything was just perfect, situated in an ideal spot … to explore Cumbria. We felt very welcome indeed, and all our needs thoughtfully provided … with the bonus of red squirrels, local eggs and a garden for Bertie the dog.

 

Thank you to welcoming and generous-hearted hosts for enabling us to enjoy your magical home environment. The Garden Barn is both a comfort and delight. Everything lifts the spirit.

The most beautiful of places, everything we could have hoped for – and more! The dogs thoroughly enjoyed their back garden and the woods too.

Lovely place to stay in a wonderful location. Walks through the woods, cold mornings, sunny days, apples in the orchard …

The Barn is great, comfortable, cozy, clean and everything you need. Bread, eggs, milk etc are lovely extras. The creams and handwashes from Keswick were also a nice touch.

 

A wonderful relaxing stay in a very warm welcoming environment, a peaceful tranquil oasis enjoyed enormously by ourselves and our four dogs.

 

The bed is so comfy, the hand and foot cream are lovely touches.

 

We loved seeing the piglets this year, and we spotted the red squirrel finally!

 

What a wonderful cottage! Thank you for this lovely home away from home.

The barn conversion has been done to a really high standard. It is very well equipped with so many thoughtful touches … we were made to feel very welcome and our boys have loved playing in the gardens; helping to feed the pigs and playing on the trampoline.

 

The sausages, bacon and eggs were great!

 

The accommodation is fantastic and the grounds are beautiful.

Another fab week at your amazing home. Enjoyed every minute and will be back soon.

A wonderful stay in amazing surroundings. It was so convenient for visiting the Lakes and handy for the motorway. Your kindness and care have been much appreciated … a ‘gem’.

 

Our second stay in this gorgeous barn conversion … The kitchen got well used … you have thought of everything. … The plentiful supply of eggs, sausages and bacon (amazing!) will be very much missed.

 

What a lovely place to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary! Thank you for making it so easy to have our baby daughter to stay here.

 

A delightful stay in very superior accommodation. The sense of spaciousness and calm in this beautiful barn conversion has allowed us to relax and appreciate this quieter corner of the Lake District. Leaning on the field gate with the Pennines beyond and watching the swallows race by was a tremendous pleasure.

 

This place is truly amazing – nothing was too much trouble.

 

Very relaxing watching the birds and the added bonus of a visit from two red squirrels (amazing) … the beautiful woodland you let us walk in: we managed to see the deer too.

 

Never have we been anywhere more welcoming and steeped in fascinating history.

Although the weather was terrible we have had an enjoyable week, especially watching the birds in such close proximity.

We've had a really relaxing holiday in your beautiful barn! Our three little dogs have been right at home.

The barn is warm and cosy. Entertainment from the bird table with visits from the red squirrel, woodpecker, nuthatches, partridges and the naughty pheasants.

Absolutely lovely stay... we all enjoyed ourselves - adults, children, and dogs alike.

We loved staying here. There was everything we needed and nothing was to much trouble.
